Matthijs de Ligt's father-in-law denied speculation that the defender would move from Juventus to Manchester United. He said that son-in-law would not go anywhere.

De Ligt was in demand by clubs all over Europe during the summer. That's after he helped Ajax win the Eredivisie title and reach the Champions League semifinals.

United is one of the clubs reportedly interested in De Ligt. However, the player finally chose to move to Juventus.

So far De Ligt has still not been able to meet high expectations in Turin. According to reports, United are interested in signing him if Juventus choose to sell players this summer.

De Ligt's father-in-law, Keje Molenaar, dismissed speculation about the defender's future. He stressed that De Ligt did not regret his move to Italy.

"That's just a rumor, that's all, nothing more can be said about it," he told Tuttojuve.

"Matthijs has absolutely no regrets in choosing Juve, he and Annekee really had a great time in Turin and maybe they could spend more time in Italy."

De Ligt made 27 appearances in all competitions for Juventus in the 2019-20 season. Of all these opportunities, the Dutchman was able to score two goals.
